Dear friends & family,
We find ourselves in uncharted waters. As a society, we are facing things we have never faced before. As fear grips our world, we are choosing love.
Our own government, along with the CDC and WHO, are suggesting that during these days we NOT gather in groups, so as to slow the spread of the Coronavirus. We feel that love demands we do everything we can to mitigate the impact of this virus.
In light of all this, we are SUSPENDING OUR SERVICES at Woodlands Community Church until such time as it is safe to gather once more.
While this is the reality we find ourselves facing, we also sense the call of God to love Him and our neighbor. We sense God calling us to BE the body of Christ in prayer, action, and deed. So while the physical gathering of the church is suspended, I would remind you that the church is alive and well. In fact, each Sunday at 11:00 AM we will gather online via Facebook. You are welcomed to join us. In addition we are gathering for prayer, again online. If you want information about how to join one of these prayer groups, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please know, as our situation changes, we will seek to update our response. As I close, I leave you with this prayer of St. Patrick:
May the strength of God pilot us,
May the wisdom of God instruct us,
May the hand of God protect us,
May the word of God direct us.
